Join us today Second Sunday Poetry! Jessica Isaacs Jessica received the 2015 Oklahoma Book Award for her book, Deep August (Village Books Press, 2014). She is the founder and co-editor of Dragon Poet Review, an online literary journal (www.dragonpoetreview.com). Her poetry has been published in various journals and anthologies, including Oklahoma Today, Sugar Mule’s Women Writing Nature, Elegant Rage, One Sentence Poems, All Roads Lead Home Poetry Blog, Cybersoleil Literary Journal, and My Life with a Funeral Director. She is an English professor at Seminole State College, where she serves as the director of SSC’s annual Howlers & Yawpers Creativity Symposium.. Sly Alley Sly is a writer of poetry and short-fiction whose work has appeared in The Muse and Dragon Poet Review. His work has been featured at the annual Howlers and Yawpers Creativity Symposium at Seminole State College, Poetry at The Paramount in Oklahoma City, Woody Guthrie Poets, Oklahoma Voices First Sunday Poetry at IAO Gallery, Second Sunday Poetry at Tidewater Winery and the September Poetry Series at East Central University. His debut collection of poems titled Strong Medicine is published by Village Books Press and won the 2017 Oklahoma Book Award for poetry. He writes on a vintage Royal typewriter in a fortified shack in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
